Council Room October the 3d 1876 City Council met pursuant to thadjourned His Honor Leander Brown Mayor in the Chair Roll called and the following Named Alderman was present Alderman Bennett, Baker Palm, Auvers, Dumschke, Collins, and Fae.
Minutes for September 5th and 22d read and adopted
Sextons report for the month of September was read showing 26 deaths, Eleven adults and Nine Children
Committees appointed last meeting asked for further time to report, it was granted
On motion of Alderman Domschke, seconded and carried, a Committee of two was appointed, and the Mayor to be added to said Committee. Alderman Domschke and Baker being the Committee appointed to take into consideration a proposition from the Fire Department about buying an Engine and building an Engine house and to report at the next Meeting
