Sneed Introduced an Ordinance al- lowing butchers to vend meat anywhere in the city, by paying the minimum sum fixed for the rent of stalls in the Market House etc, as set forth in the Ordinance. On motion the ordinance was laid over until next meeting. On motion the Council adjourned until the regular monthly meeting.

City Council Room Austin Tex. February 22nd 1873 Called meeting. The Council was called to order by his Honor F. B. Wheeler. Present: Ald. Geo. Susemann Ed. Christian " A. Scholz J. W. Hannig " J.H. Robinson Absent " & Bremond Wm Brueggerhoff " T. E. Sneed His Honor the Mayor announced to the Council that he thought it necessary to pass a resolution to have every body vaccinated. Whereupon Ald. Robinson offered the following resolution. Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, That the Mayor be, and is hereby authorized to contract with some reliable Physician to vaccinate all Citizens of the City of Austin free of charge, and be requested to issue a proclamation embracing the urgency of immediate vaccination. Which passed by a unanimous vote. On motion the Council adjourned until its regmonthly meeting.
