City election scheduled for the first Monday in November 1875, with voting polls to open in each of Austin's ten wards

Ten polling places designated across the city, including the Court House, Market House, and various local stores like Hickey's Store and Greenberg's Store

Street expansion approved to open the extension of Dryfork Street east of Waller Creek, expanding the city's infrastructure

6 Called Meeting of the City Council Austin Texas Sept 29th 1875 Present- Mayor F. B. Wheeler in the chair- Aldermen G. A. Boardman, Wm Brueggerhoff, G. A. Cullen, N. B. Mitchell, J. H. Robinson and J. B. Todd. Absent- Aldermen E. Bremond, Ed. Christian, F. Dohme, and E. Piper. On motion, the reading of the minutes were dispensed with until the regular monthly meeting. The Mayor recommended that, a poll be opened in each ward of the city for holding the city election on the first Monday in November next. Whereupon on motion of Alderman Cullen it was unanimously resolved, that, a poll be opened in each ward and at the following named places: First Ward -- Court House. Second " -- Hickey’s Store. Third " -- Market House. Fourth " -- Goodman’s Store. Fifth " -- Bertram’s Store. Sixth " -- Greenberg’s Store. Seventh " -- Scholz’s Hall. Eighth " -- Maucher’s Store. Ninth " -- Mayor’s Office. Tenth " -- Hofheintz’s Store. On motion, it was unanimously resolved that the Mayor be authorized to open the extension of Dryfork Street east of Waller Creek, according to the City Charter.
