Called Meeting Council Chamber Austin Texas April 17, 1876 Council called to order at 4.30 P.M. S.W. Chandler President of the Board of Aldermen in the Chair Roll called and the following members answered Alderman Bremond Chandler, Daffenbaugh Goodale James, Robinson and Taylor, Absent Alderman Cook, Larmour, and Shea. Quorum found The President informed the Council they had been called together for the purpose of considering the granting of right of way through the city of Austin to the International and Great Northern Rail Road Company Alderman Bremond introduced an ordinance No 96 entitled an Ordinance granting the right of way to the Sulnational or International and Great Northern Railroad Company through the city of Austin The Ordinance was read first time Yeas and Nays ordered. Yeas Aldermen Bremond, Chandler, Daffenbaugh Goodale, James, Robinson and Taylor, Nays None Ordinance passed its first reading. On Motion the rules was suspended and the ordinance read second time Yeas and Nays ordered Yeas Aldermen Bremond, Chandler, Daffenbaugh Goodale James Robinson and Taylor. Nays, None. Ordinance passed its second reading On motion the rules was further suspended and the ordinance read the third time and put on its final passage Yeas Alderman Bremond, Chandler, Daffenbaugh Goodale James, Robinson, and Taylor Nays None Ordinance passed On Motion of Alderman Robinson the Council adjourned John T.
