Council was called to order at 3:30 P.M. Mayor Stheler in the Chair. Roll called and the following members answered. Aldermen Chandler, Cook, Goodale Garnour Robinson Rock and Taylor. Absent Aldermen Bromond, Deffenbaugh and James. Quorum present The Journals of the meetings of January 13, 17, & July 1st was read and approved Alderman James came in took his seat and was recorded as present. Your Committee appointed to investigate the claim of Mrs Bahn & Schumann, have carefully examined the same, and have the honor to report the following. We find that the original amount paid for the Hospital Block was $1200- one half of said amount was paid by Mr Bahn and the other half by Mr Schumann. We also find that the taxes, State County, and City paid by Mrs Bahn amounts to $134 22 and that paid by Mr Schumann amounts to $94 57. Your Committee would recommend that interest be paid from date of purchase until the first day of February 1879. The interest $600 @ 12% from 20th of August 1870 to the first day of February 1879 amounts to $463 22
