Called Meeting of City Council February 12, 1878 Council called to order at 8,30 P.M. Mayor DeGress in the Chair. from Platt and Strong Nays Aldermen Brown and Millete The Committee to whom was referred the Ordinance Regulating Markets submitted the following as a Majority Report Austin February 12th 1878 Hon J C Delbru Mayorse Sir The undersigned members of your committee to whom was referred the Ordinance regulating Markets have the honor to report as follows We recommend that the market limits be established as heretofore and offer the accompanying amendment to fill blank in Article No 30 We also recommend that the penalties for violations of this ordinance be incorporated in a single section or article with proper reference to all the sections or articles contained. This will save expense in printing. There are some unimportant amendments which we will offer as to form, on second reading, not necessary to be enumerated here with these amendments we respectfully recommend the passage of the Ordinance Respectfully submitted D.
