626 No pay Called Meeting of City Council, Austin, Texas, Feby 3d 1879. Mayor De Gres presiding. Roll called. [illegible] Present, Aldermen Crow, Brooker, Millett, Platt, Fann, Sheehan, Strong & Vaughan. Quorum Present. His Honor the Mayor stated the object of the meeting to be the consideration of an invitation from the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of the City of Austin for the City Council to attend and participate in the reception of the Grand Lodge I. O. O. F. of the State of Texas. Alderman Fann moved that the invitation be accepted. Carried. On motion Alderman Crow was excused on account of sickness. On motion the council adjourned with the understanding that the members thereof should meet at the corner of Congress Avenue and Bois d'Arc Sts. at 12:30 P.M in order to attend the reception.
