Called Meeting of City Council Austin, Tx. February 28, 1880 Mayor De Gress presiding. Roll called. Present, — Alderman Boardman, Nalle, Reichman, Sheehan, and Wahsenberger Absent. — Aldermen Coomby, Brooker, Metz, Tobin and Robertson. No quorum present. His Honor, the Mayor, stated the (object) meeting had been called in deference to the following request: Hon. J. C. de Gress, Mayor of the City of Austin We, the undersigned, members of the City Council, respectfully request your Honor to call a special meeting of the Council on Friday evening, February 27, at 8 o'clock for the purpose of considering the market ordinance passed at its last meeting of the Council George Robertson J. J. Tobin Fritz Reichman N. B. Metz C. L. Coombs, and James Wahsenberger There being no quorum present, on motion of Alderman Nalle, the Council adjourned City Clerk.
