Roll call Present Aldermen Henry Metz Schuler Radkey (1) Ruppertz Moller Wilson Aldermen Cook and Ruppertz came in and answered to their names. absent Aldermen Bruggertroff Moller Alderman Cook movd a call of the Council motion Carried. Present Aldermen Metz Henry Cook Schuler Radkey Ruppertz Platt and Wilson absent Alderman Bruggertroff and Moller. Alderman Metz movd that the call of the house be suspended motion carried.
Petition of A H Binkley Police officer was received and read asking that he be granted leave of absence for the space of six days Alderman Metz movd to refer the petition to City Marshal referred to City Marshal
His honor the Mayor offered the Official bond of J W Howard City Treasurer Alderman Platt movd the bond be accepted motion carried.
The Ordinance ordering and election for the pur pose of refunding the limit of the debt of the City was read the second time, Alderman Ruppertz moved to suspend the rules and place the Ordinance on its third reading which was lost by the following vote Yeas Aldermen Henry Cook Radkey Ruppertz Nays Alderman Metz Schuler Platt and Wilson

The following resolution was offered by Alderman Platt Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin That the maximum price for sprinkling the streets shall not be less than five hundred dollars and that the Mayor is instructed to state in his advertisement for bids that no bid

Alderman Huppertz offered the following resolution which was adopted. Whereas a great many complaints are made by many Citizens of Austie against the distribution of the various gas lamps, and water hydrants through out the City. Therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austie That the Mayor appoint a special committee of Three whose duty it shall be to investigate said matter and report to this Council at the next regular meeting thereof with such recommen dations as they may decide advisable His honor the Mayor appointed Aldermen Huppertz, Platt, and Bruggeshoff, as a special committee of Three to investigate matters referred to in the above resolutions
Alderman Kenney offered the following Ordinance which was adopted by the following vote Yeas Aldermen Kenney, Cook, Schubert, Radley Huppertz and Wilson, Metz, Nays Alderman Platt. Absent Alderman Bruggeshoff and Mueller. Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Austie, That the sum of Forty six dollars and forty eight cents ($46.48) be and the same is hereby appropriated for the Commissioners of the City Assessor and Collector on Collections and assessments.
Alderman Metz moved to suspend the rules and now place the Ordinance on its second or third reading The rules were further suspended and the Ordinance on its Third reading and final passage and passed by the following vote Yeas. Aldermen Metz, Kenney, Cook, Schubert Radkey, Huppertz and Wilson, Nays Platt absent Bruggeshoff Mueller
His honor the Mayor presented the nomination of R J Grant as a police man Alderman Metz
