Roll call present Aldermen Ramsey Lawrance Schuber Bruggerhoff Radkey Kuppertz. Platt and Wilson absent aldermen Metz and Moeller.
A fine of one dollar was entered against Aldermen Metz and Moeller for none attendance at this meeting.
Minutes of the Called meeting of Nov 13 regular meeting of Nov 20. called meeting of Nov 24. 1882 read and approved.
Alderman Schuber presented a petition from L. Promun asking that the council allow him the amount that his horse sold for at a City Pound sale less the expenses incurred by the City in said sale. Petition granted.
A Petition was receivde from E W Tuttle asking that the Council allow him $7.00 amount receivd by the City from the sale of a horse of his at a pound sale, said amount having been turned over to the assessor and collector after all fines and expenses of said sale had been paid Petition granted
A Petition was receivd from D Everith asking that the Council make an appropriation for the account of Ed Crary for feeding the City horse and City Prisoners for the months of Oct and Nov 1882. Petition referred to the Finance Committee

Alderman Brueggerhoff introduced an Ordinance appropriating $346.00 per month for the expenses of the Fire Department for six months from Nov 1, 1887. to April 30 1888 the ordinance was read first time The Ordinance was then amended by striking out the words; the months of January February March and april 1888 The ordinance was then read second and third time under suspension of the rules and passed by the following vote Yeas Aldermen Kinney Lawrance Shuber Brueggerhoff Radkey Kauppertz and Wilson Nays Alderman Plath
Alderman Kinney offered an amendment to the Union Depot Ordinance which was read Alderman Brueggerhoff rose to a point of order. Stating that the amendment was out of order That the Union Depot ordinance had been read second time and that the motion to suspend the rules and place the Ordinance on its third reading (at a previous meeting) had been defeated His honor the Mayor ruled that the Ordinance was open to amendment Alderman Brueggerhoff appealed from the decision of the Chair The yeas and nays being called for the Chair was sustained by the following vote Yeas Aldermen Kinney Lawrance Schubert Radkey Kauppertz and Wilson Nays Aldermen Plath and Brueggerhoff.
