The following call of the council was read Call of council Mayor's Office. Austin Texas September 9th 1885 To the Aldermen of the City of Austin. Gentlemen — I hereby call a Special meeting of the city council to meet at the council chamber this (wednesday) evening at 4 o'clock for the purpose of considering the general appropriation ordinance and the ordinance relating to the new fire department building and to consider such other matters as may then be laid before you. $5146.05 An Ordinance appropriating the sum of $5146.05 was called up, On motion of Alderman Maas the ordinance was amended to include the bill of Eugene Von Boeckman for printing the minutes amounting to $74.32 On motion of Alderman Crooker the caption and the ordinance was changed to $5220.37 then read third time and passed by the following vote. Yeas Aldermen Schneider, Pillow, Hancock, Wells, Campbell, Schubert, Underhill, Maas, Warren, Crooker, Odells, Currington, Holman, Hill, Flick, and Brennen 16.
On motion An ordinance entitled "an ordinance authorizing of occupation the transfer of occupation licenses," was called up licenses and read on second time, and read a third time under suspension of the rules, and, upon motion passed by a unanimous vote.

The ordinance was read a second time, then read a third time under suspension of the rules, and passed by the following vote, Yeas aldermen Wells, Campbell, Schriber, Underhill, Maas, Warren, Crooker, Odell, Carrington, Coleman, Hill, Brennen - 12. Nays. Aldermen Schneider, Pillow, Hancock, and Plath - 4.
$175. for A.M.C. An Ordinance appropriating $175.00 to pay Nixon for services of A.M.C. Nixon for furnishing plans and specification for remodeling the city market house was introduced and read first time, then laid over.
$0.88 for S.E. An Ordinance appropriating $0.88 to refund Daniels [illegible] excess taxes paid by S.E. Daniels was introduced taxes by Alderman Odell and read first time, then laid over.
On motion the council adjourned.
