The Minutes of a Called Meeting of the City Council Austin, Tex., November 09, 1889. Hon W. B. Wortham, president of the board of aldermen, presiding. Roll Call: Present, Aldermen Graham, Lawrence, Linn, Morris, Nitschke, North, Pillow, Schneider, Townsend, Wortham, Ziller 11. Absent, Aldermen- Assmann, Boland, DeGress, Haigler, Jones, Metz, Newton, Platt, Wilson, 9. The following Call was then read: Austin, Texas, Nov 9, 1889. To the Members of the City Council of the City of Austin: "Gentlemen - We, the undersigned aldermen of the City of Austin, hereby call a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Austin, to meet at the Council room, this the 9th day of November, A.D. 1889, at 4 o'clock p.m., to take such action as the Council may deem proper on a pending resolution entitled, "Resolution ordering a general election in the City of Austin on Monday, Dec. 2, 1889." F. B. Morris, H. A. Linn. Election The resolution named in the call was then taken up on its third reading and read, and, on motion, passed by the following vote: Yeas, Aldermen - Graham, Lawrence, Linn, Morris, Nitschke, North, Pillow, Schneider, Townsend, Wortham, Ziller - 11.
