Minutes of a Called Meeting of the City Council Austin Texas July 01, 1892 Hon John Mc Donald Mayor presiding Roll Call Roll Call Present - Aldermen Anderson, Assmann, Grass, Jackson, Linn, Miller, Norton, Schuber, Shelley, - 9 Absent Aldermen, Gresham, Nunn, Hetchum, Morris, Nitschke, North, Platt, Schneider, Sulor, Townsend, Warmoth, Weyerman, ziller, - 13 The following was read Mayor's Office Austin Texas July 1, 1892 To the Members of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Austin Texas Gentlemen, I hereby call a special meeting of the City Council to assemble in the city hall this day at 3 oclock P.M. for the purpose of taking suitable action on the death of Col. J. W. Robertson ex Mayor of the city of Austin John McDonald Mayor The above call has been served this day by reading it to all the aldermen in the city A. Montgomery Sergeant Police Officers return of call of council Alderman Linn moved that a special committee of five be appointed to draft suitable resolutions on the death of ex Mayor J. W. Robertson The motion prevailed and the chair appointed Aldermen Linn Miller Anderson Schuber and Platt Council adjourned The Council then adjourned Milton Morris, City Clerk
