• Defective Bridge Construction - City engineers found the Bouldin Bridge failed to meet specifications in multiple ways: limestone courses varied from 4-15 inches instead of 6-10 inches, stone riprap slopes were too steep, and the roadway width varied from 37-45 feet instead of the required 40 feet. The structure was already cracking and concern was raised about its ability to withstand high water.
• Tax and Fine Remission Requests - The council approved remitting a $10 fine against Fritz Saething for failing to remove a dead cow (as he didn't own it) and postponed a property tax dispute involving over $1,130 in taxes owed by developer Charles Meuming.
• City Budget and Staffing - Approved three spending ordinances totaling roughly $1,573 for board of equalization pay ($130), dead animal disposal facility rent ($72.44), and general accounts ($1,171.18). Several city employees were granted leaves of absence.
• Water Utility Negotiations - Council authorized its water committee to negotiate terms with the Austin Water Light and Power company for continued city water service and present a pricing proposal at the next meeting.

We find that the courses above specified range from (4) four to (15) fifteen inches and is not range work. The most of said arch is not built of hard rock and certainly not selected rock and said arch is now cracked at both ends. Second. The sides of the embankment is required by specifications to be riprapped with stone 12 inches thick from the face with a slope of 1 to 1. We find that at least one half of the riprapping is almost perpendicular and of course will not stand The width of the roadway should be forty (40) feet which we find varies from thirty seven (37) to forty five (45) feet Fourth the grade comes within the limits of the specifications except the last 100 feet on the south end of said bridge which is about 6 feet to the 100 when it should be 4 feet to the 100 feet Fifth We are apprehensive that the Structure of said bridge and its approaches can withstand the pressure of high water passing its outlet through the channel of the creek or having crossed and openened by the same
