Mren one of the members of the Board of equalization for the year 1893 to enter his protest against the action of the majority of the members of the board of equalization of taxes of the City of Austin for the year 1893 in unlawfully reducing the valuation of $75000 placed by said board on the stock of merchandise of every description of John Bremond &Co to $50,000. Referred to Committee on claims and accounts, By Alderman Warmoth A petition from citizens of the Seventh Eighth and east part of the Sixth ward requesting the City Council to retain Police Officer Gus Evans on the police force was referred to the Police Committee.
Committee Reports The Special committee appointed Dec 9 1893 to draft an ordinance fixing salaries of the officers and employees of the City of Austin for the term of two years submitted their report and on motion the ordinance accompanying the report was laid over to come up under new business.
