To the members of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Austin, Gentlemen - I hereby call a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Austin to assemble in the council chamber at the City Hall at 8 oclock P.M. this evening, Thursday Dec 21, 1893 for the purpose of making an appropriation to pay interest on the bonds of the City of Austin issued prior to may 1, 1890 and to make an appropriation to pay aldermen John Mc Donald Mayor Austin Tex Dec 21, 1893 - 7 P.M. I hereby certify that the following aldermen have each been served with the above call by having it read to them in person Towit Anderson, Assmann, Dawson, Fischer, Glass Hancock, Jackson, Lawless, Linn Nitschke, North, Platt, Purnell, Raymond Redd, Roberdeau, Schneider, Shelley, Taylor, Townsend and Warmuth. And that alderman Blume has been served by an official copy being left at his place of business, he being out of the city James C Lucy City Marshal
Alderman Taylor introduced an ordinance entitled "an Ordina nce appropriating the sum of $52 00 for the purpose of paying interest on the bonds of the city of Austin issued prior to may 1, 1890" It was read after which a motion was made to suspend the rules and place the ordinance on its second reading which was adopted by the following vote Yeas-15 Aldermen Anderson Platt
