Korham asking that certain found fees fees paid by him be refunded On motion the petition was granted L.H. Kresse for By Alderman Glass. Petition of L.H. Absent Alderman Fischer Alderman Glass moved to proceed to Canvass the Vote Cast for Alderman for the 2nd Ward on Oct. 6/900. which motion prevailed. Canvass Vote for Alderman 2nd Ward Alderman Dunham moved that a Committee of three be appointed to Canvass the Vote, which motion prevailed and the Mayor appointed Aldermen Dunham Nolen and Glass as such Committee. The Committee presented the following report Austin, Texas Oct 8/900. Com. Report To the Hon. Mayor & Aldermen of the City of Austin! Your Special Committee appointed to Canvass the election for Alderman of the 2nd Ward held on Oct 6/900. 1900, beg leave to report that the returns of the election show that B. S. Pillard received 320 Votes and Frank P. Schneider received 750 Votes. We find that no returns have been sent in from the 4th Ward. We are informed that the returns are in the ballot-box from that Ward and we ask that the Council authorize the Committee to open the box and Count the returns. H. L. Nolen for Committee Committee Authorized to get returns from 4th Ward Alderman Newman offered the following resolution which was read and adopted. Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, that the Mayor be instructed to get returns from Ward, and Alderman City of Austin, that the Council of the committee appointed by the Mayor be instructed to open the 4th Ward box and Canvass the Vote for Alderman in 4th Ward of the City of Austin Monday Oct 9/900. The Committee after opening the box from the 4th ward and Canvassing the returns from said Ward, report that the returns showed that the entire Vote Cast for Alderman from the 2nd Ward at the election held Oct 6th 1900, was as follows For F.
