Petrus Belisch The Mayor laid before the Council a petition from to remit Mr. Belisch asking that a fine assessed against fine him in the Mayors Court be remitted to him granted The petition was approved by the Mayor and on Motion the relief asked for was granted.
Appeals from the Mayor laid before the Council. Notices of appeal action of from the action of the Board of Equalization from the of Equalization following named persons viz Amelia Tracy & E.W. Nays Alderman Strumff On the petition of L.A. Kreisle et al Kreisle Seroneas ad [illegible] et al Committee returned the petition to the Council stating that they were not prepared to make a report on same, and that they would suggest that the Council take the opinion of the City Attorney as to their authority to pay same. The City Attorney then gave it as his opinion that the Council was not authorized to pay the bill, but suggested that the School Board might have the authority. On motion the bill was referred to the School Board.
Unfinished Business Ord regulating the Mayor laid before the Council An Ordinance regulating Cull back the collection of back taxes due the City of Austin, taxes The ordinance was read the second time and a motion made to suspend the rule and place it on its third reading and final passage was lost by the following Vote Yeas Aldermen Dunham Glass and Mortimer Nays Aldermen Rischen Schneider and Strumff 8 8.

Sanitary Inspector Were each granted a leave of absence for 15 days, Commencing marshal Oct 26th 1904. leave absence By Alderman Rischen An Ordinance appropriating the sum of $500. for the purpose of paying for extra labor, teams ord $500. Material for street purposes – The ordinance was on work read the first time and a motion made to suspend the rule and place it on its second reading was adopted by the following Vote Yeas Aldermen Dunham Rischen Glass Mortimer Schneider 5 Nays Alderman Strumff, Alderman [illegible] Alderman [illegible] amended. The Ordinance was then read the second time $300- Alderman Rischen moved to amend by striking out in the caption of the ordinance the words "Dollars five hundred and inserting the words "Three hundred" which motion prevailed.
