The Ordinance was read the second Time Alderman Glass Moved to amend by inserting under the amended head of Sanitary Dept. the following "To pay the account of G.S. 392 Alderman Nolen moved to amend the resolution by Striking out all after the word "should," and inserting in lieu thereof the following "by the Contractor until the next Meeting of the Council and if not done promptly and Satisfactorily to report to the Council at that Meeting." Alderman Dunham moved as a substitute that the resolution be referred to the Sanitary Committee for investigation and that they after a full investigation of the matter instruct the Sanitary Officer as to where he is to have said work done - The Substitute was adopted Alderman Nolen offered the following resolution which was read and adopted Bridge Naming Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin branch turned That the bridge over Netwrings branch in the first over to Engineer Ward be turned over to the City Engineer to be used in repairing bridges and Culverts in said Ward. Marshal to Alderman Glass moved that the City Marshal place lamp on be authorized to have a lamp put up at the foot steps to City Hall of the steps leading up to the Council Chamber The motion was adopted On motion the Council adjourned.
