Walton mayor presiding Roll Called Present Alderman Gillis Law Nitschke Schneider Shelley Shumate and Shurruff Absent none The following Call of the Council was read Austin Texas April 8th 1901. To the members of the City Council of the City of Austin: A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Austin is hereby Called to convene at the Council Chamber at the City Hall in Austin Texas at 5 o'clock P.M. this date for the purpose of Approving the official bond of the City Engineer and officer street Commissioners elect and elect other subordinate officers Geo. A. Walton Mayor J.M. Shurruff Theodon Law J.P. Schneider R.A. Gillis Austin Texas April 8th 1901. I hereby certify that I have this day served the within Call for a special meeting of the City Council by reading same to the following named Aldermen towit: R.A. Gillis Theordon Law J.B. Nitschke J.P. Schneider T.A. Shelley J.M. Shumate and Joseph Shurruff A.S. Thorn City Marshal By A.H. Erwin Deputy Bonds of all Aldermen Shumate moved to defer action on the bond of newly elected City Engineer and other street Commissioners elect and until the next regular meeting of the Council which motion prevailed Alderman Schneider moved that the bond of City Engineer and street Commissioner elect Sneed, together with the bonds of all other officers elected at the election held on April 1st 1901, who were ready to qualify, be referred to a Special Committee of three for examination, and that they report on same at the next regular Meeting of the Council, which motion prevailed. The Mayor appointed Aldermen Schneider Shumate and Shurruff as such Committee. On motion of Alderman Nitschke the Council adjourned. Geo. O. Johnson City Clerk.
