536 called meeting of the City Council Austin Texas July 19, 1901 Hon H.A. Shelley, President of the Council presiding. Roll Called Present Aldermen Hume Redd Schneider Shelley Shumate and Stumpf 6 Absent Aldermen Crooker Davis Gillis Low Maddax Mortimer Nitschke Weil 8 Alderman Schneider moved a call of the Council which Roll of Council was ordered and the Marshal directed to bring in the absentees ordered Aldermen Davis Mortimer & Weil appeared and answered to their name. A quorum being present, on motion the Call was suspended The President laid before the Council an Ordinance appropriating following ball was read Austin Texas July 18th 1901 A special call A special meeting of the City Council is hereby called to meet in the Council chamber in the City Hall at 4 o'clock PM on friday July 19th 1901. for the purpose of Voting upon an Ordinance appropriating the sum of $607. to pay the interest due July 1st 1901 on High School Bonds of the City of Austin H.A. Shelley actg Mayor J.L. Hume. J.H. Schneider Joseph Stumpf J.M. Shumate I. H. Montgomery, City Marshal of the City of Austin, do hereby certify that the following named Aldermen have been served with the above Call, Viz. H.C. Redd & R.A. Gillis J.B. Nitschke Thos Weil. P.A. Mortimer W.D. Davis Theodor Low H.A. Shelley J.H. Schneider Joseph Stumpf & J.M. Shumate and that, Aldermen Maddax & Crooker have been served by having a true copy left at their residences, they being outof the City H.
