Alderman Dains entered the Council Chamber.
Petitions, memorials etc. Pet S. H. Weaver By Alderman Shumate - Petition of S. H. Weaver to have his taxes Introduction reduced, having had his house destroyed by fire. Reports of City officers Reports City The Chair laid before the Council the reports of City Officers for officers the month of Nov. 1901, which were on motion referred to their appropriate Committees, without reading, except the report of the Treasurer which was read and referred to the Finance Committee. Reports of standing Committees Ref: Finance Alderman Waddoy for the Finance Committee presented a Com. purchase report, stating that they had purchased for the sinking fund of the of Water & Light Water & Light bonds, $6000.00 of 5% water & light bonds at 80% interest bonds. & they recommend that said bonds be cancelled and destroyed Finance Com On Motion the report of the Committee was adopted on officers report Alderman Wadday for the Finance Committee to whom was referred the reports of the Assessor & Collector, the Clerk and the Treasurer for the month of October 1901, presented a report stating that they had examined the reports and found them correct. On Motion the report of the Committee was adopted Cemetery Com Alderman Ulich for the Cemetery Committee to whom was Interim Report referred the report of the City Sexton for the month of October 1901 presented a report stating that they had carefully examined said report and found same to be correct. The report was adopted Hospital Com Alderman Kibbe for the Hospital Committee to whom was on Physician referred the report of the Physician for the month of Oct. 1901, report presented a report stating that upon examination they had found same to be correct. On motion the report was adopted. Fire Com on Alderman Schneider for the Fire Committee to whom was G. A. Brush referred the petition of G. A. Brush to erect a stairway or make other improvements to building within the fire limits presented a report recommending that the petition be granted. On motion the report of the Committee was adopted.

$4500 to purchase fire hose Alderman Thurnpff called up the ordinance appropriating the sum of $4500 for the purpose of purchasing fire hose The ordinance was read the second time. Alderman Thurnpff moved to amend the ordinance by adding after the figures "$4500." the words "or so much thereof as may be necessary."
