Reports Standing Committee ordinance on Vending ordinance Alderman Hune for the ordinance Committee to whom was referred a petition of citizens asking the repeal on modification of the Vending Ordinance, presented a report submitting an Ordinance on the subject. The report was read and on motion was laid over to come up with the ordinance under the head of unfinished business. Ordinance on grazing ordinance Alderman Hune for the ordinance Committee to whom was referred an Ordinance regulating the grazing of stock on the streets of the City of Austin presented a substitute for said ordinance. On motion the report was laid over to come up with the ordinance under the head of Unfinished business. Printing Contract for news paper printing Alderman Brooker for the Printing Committee presented a report stating that they had asked for and received bids for Newspaper printing for the term ending Dec 31st 1901 and recommending the acceptance of the bid of the Tribune News. Co. at the rate of 3¢ per line for the first insertion and 2½¢ per line for each subsequent insertion On motion the report was adopted and the Mayor authorized to enter into contract with said Company as therein named. Hospital on report Physician Alderman Redd entered the Council Chamber. Alderman Redd for the Hospital Committee to whom was referred the report of the City Physician for the month of March 1901, presented a report stating that same had been examined and found Correct – On motion the Committee's report was adopted Alderman Wackens & Heit entered the Council Chamber. Unfinished business The Mayor laid before the Council, the side walk ordinance Side walk ord. read second time which was read the Second Time. The Citizens Committee appointed to Confer with the City Council regarding said ordinance presented a report which was read and discussed at some length, after which a motion was made and adopted to defer further action on the ordinance until the next Regular meeting on a meeting called for the purpose of Considering same $300. to open street Pease Park The Mayor then laid before the Council an ordinance appropriating the sum of $300.⁰⁰ for the purpose of of opening a road way to Pease Park and for other improvements to Said Park. The ordinance was read the third time and on motion was laid over until the next meeting of the Council Alderman Nitschke for the Street Committee to whom was referred an ordinance for opening street in South Austin presented a verbal report recommending that said

Grazing ordinance The Mayor laid before the Council an ordinance prohibiting grazing of stock on the Streets, Alleys and Parks of the City, with the report of the ordinance Committee offering a Substitute for said ordinance. Vending ordinance The Mayor laid before the Council the Vending ordinance together with the report of the ordinance Committee, with the substitute offered by the Committee. The ordinance was read the second time.
Amended. Alderman Moore moved to amend by inserting after the word "former" in Section 3; the letter "f". The amendment was adopted.
Amended. Alderman Shumate moved to amend the ordinance by adding the following "Section 7. That this ordinance shall apply only to such Vendors as sell homemade products."
