Sanitary on Alderman Smith for the Sanitary Committee to Slaughter pens. whom was referred the petition of Citizens to remove Certain slaughter pens within the City limits, presented a report recommending that the Marshal be directed to notify all owners of Slaughter pens to remove same within ten days. On motion the report was adopted. Hospitals on Alderman Redd for the Hospital Committee to Physicians reports whom was referred the reports of the City Physicians for the months of June and July 1904, presented reports stating that same had been examined and found Correct. On motion the reports were adopted. Unfinished business. Unfinished business The Mayor laid before the Council an ordinance directing the City Marshall to open a certain road South Austin in South Austin. The ordinance was read the road. third time. Alderman Brooken offered the following resolution Resolved that the Mayor of the City be authorized to appoint three Engineers to locate the road now being discussed before the City Council, that the Council meet intelligently on this subject and that the matter be postponed until the next regular meeting, at which time they are requested to report. Alderman shimate moved to amend the resolution by making the number of Engineers to be appointed, two and that the petition to open the road appointed by one and Mr Butter appoint Troy for one, and that the City Engineer act upon the behalf of the City. The amendment was accepted by Alderman Brooken Alderman Schneider moved to further amend the resolution by adding the "Street Committee".
