Alderman Shumate offered a resolution granting the Ladies Jubilee Committee certain privileges during the Coming Carnival. Alderman Brooker moved that the Council take a recess for ten minutes to allow the Aldermen to examine the report and sketch presented by the Engineer in regard to the road in South Austin, which Motion prevailed – After recess the Council was called to order Aldermand Hume moved that each side to the controversy be allowed to address the Council for ten minutes which motion prevailed – J.B. Cochran Atty for Mr. Butter then addressed the Council.
