Police & Pound : Alderman Powell for the Police Committee to whom Ordinance was referred an Ordinance repealing an Ordinance extending the Pound Limits, presented a report recommending that the Ordinance do not pass. Dog Catcher & Shorten. The Mayor announced to the Council that he had Suspended by the Suspended Dog Catcher Shorten, he being charged with Mayor striking his wife. He requested that the Council take some action in the matter. On motion it was referred to the Police Committee for investigation and report.
Report City Engineer on Alderman Redd moved that the report of the Matter of Opening up of City Engineer on the matter of opening up of the Breckenridge Breckenridge Road. Road be now read and the report read which motion prevailed. The report was read. Several motions were made but not voted on Alderman Moore moved to refer the report to the Ordinance Committee & City Engineer for investigation and report, which motion prevailed by the following vote. Austin, Texas, June 3rd, 1905 How City Council of the City of Austin, I herewith return to you, without my Mayors Veto approval, Resolution instructing the City Attorney to Resolution directing the institute injunction proceedings against the Water, City Atty to enjoin the Light & Power Commission restraining it from & Commission turning off power lights; for the reason that I do not believe it to be in the best interests of the public, nor to tie up branches thereof, necessitating Courts and for us to get in the dilemma of injunctions & differences that may arise between them.
