Present Aldermen Armstrong, Crooke, Cuno, Haynes Miller, Moore, Powell, Redd, Schumate, Smith 12 Von Rosenberg & Wilhelm Absent Aldermen Macken & Petri 2 On motion the minutes were approved as recorded by the Clerk, without reading. Petitions etc Petitions & memorials etc By Aldermen Crooke - Memorial of Citizens asking Citizens to improve for improvement of the City Cemetery. Read and on Cemetery motion referred to the Cemetery Committee Com. Ladies to act Aldermen Crooke moved that the following named with Com Com Ladies be appointed as a Committee to act with the Cemetery Committee in improving the Cemetery, Viz: Mrs Herndon, Mrs Henry Ziller, Mrs S.Heidenheimer Mrs Wittman, Mrs Pendelton, Miss Laura Brough, Miss Lillie Robertson, Mrs Mary Mitchell, Mrs Fooks & Mrs McKean. The motion was adopted On motion By Alderman Wilhelm was invited to a seat on the rostrum. G.S. Russell to be Aldermen Macken entered the Council Chamber. Continued on pay The Mayor laid before the Council a communication Roll. from G.S. Russell asking that Run P. Precead Foreman of the Sanitary employee's who had been injured while in the discharge of his duties, be continued on the pay Roll of the Dept while unable to work. On motion the Inspector was instructed to continue Mr. Russell on the pay roll until further orders from the Council. H.B. Marshall The Mayor laid before the Council a petition from Bond fees. H.B. Marshall, asking to have certain Bond fees paid by him refunded. Read and on motion referred to the Committee on claims & accounts. Citizen to open By Alderman Miller - Petition of Citizens of South old Lockhart Road Austin, asking to have the old Lockhart Road opened South Austin as originally laid out, Read and on motion deferred to the Street Committee. Citizens on street By Alderman Armstrong - Petition of Citizens asking Hyde Park to have a Certain Street opened north of Hyde Park, also a. Petition offered by Alderman Macken protesting against the opening of said Street. Both petition & protest were referred to the Street Committee.

Reports of City Officers The Mayor laid before the Council, the report of the and Light Commission for the quarter ending Dec 31st 1905, also the report of Said Commission for the year 1905. The quarterly reports was read, and on motion of Alderman Moore was referred to the Printing Committee for publication in some form, the maximum of publication to be determined by the Committee Reports of Standing Committees Alderman Miller for the Water & Light Committee to whom was referred the petition of The Austin Ice & Refrigerating Commission to put in Certain pipes in the streets of Austin, presented a report recommending that the petition be not granted. The report was adopted. Alderman Smith for the Street Committee to whom was referred the petition of J. B. Taylor for permission to erect a board sign on E 5th street presented a report recommending that this petition be granted. On motion the report was adopted. Alderman Von Rosenberg for the Fire Committee to whom was referred a petition of Citizens asking for a fire hydrant to be located at the Corner of Queen & 10th streets presented a report stating that said hydrant had been erected. The report was adopted. Alderman Powell for the Police & Marshal Committee to whom was referred the Reports of the Marshal for the month of Jany 1906, presented a report stating that same had been examined and found Correct. The report was adopted.
