Austin, Texas, Aug 21st, 1906 A special Session of the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas, is hereby called to meet in the Council Chamber at 5°° oclock Pm. Friday, Aug 24th 1906, for the purpose of hearing and acting upon a report of the Special Committee appointed to adjust the account of the City and County on account of the City & County Hospital Woshelley A E Aunea Henry Petri Dud Smith Austin, Texas, Aug 8th 1906 I hereby Certify that I have recorded the above Call by having the same read to the following named Aldermen towit; F. A Miller, H. A Redd, C B Powell, J. B Crooker, R P Dunnov, E F VonRosenburg, E R Haynes, J. R Miller, F. A Smith, Otto Wilhelm and by leaving a copy of said Call at the last known place of business of Alderman J M Shumanate he being out of the City. W. Austin, Texas, Aug 8th 1906 To the Hon W M Shelley, Mayor, and Board of Aldermen of the City of Austin: Gentlemen: Your Special Committee to whom was City vs. referred the question of settlement with the County of Travis and City of Austin relative to the amts due Travis. the City of Austin on account with Travis County for Settlement the Maintenance of the City and County Hospital, beg leave to report that we find the County of Travis due the City of Austin a 1/2 of the expense of Maintaining hospital $3590.32 which is payable in full of up to the City of Austin up to and including July 31st 1906. Its Credit against this, we find that the City vs. Travis has the following: Pay slips in red covers and post-paid for the Sum of $1186.04 also a Credit of $19.45 for Medicines due us on

572 Special Camps for Small Pox, Total amount of Credit being $1250.00 which deducted amount due City would leave a balance of $2334.82 still due the City of Austin It is recommended that a settlement on this basis be passed and the City Collector be instructed to give to Travis County a receipt in full up to and including July 31.06 on payment him of the above amount of $2334.82 by Travis County Texas, and a receipt from Travis County in full of all indebtedness up to and including July 31/06. Alderman Cunes offered the following resolution which was read and adopted. Resolved that whereas the special committee appointed to ascertain the amt of indebtedness due the City of Austin by Travis County, have reported favorable the report that Travis County is due the City of Austin the sum of $2334.82 Therefore be it resolved that the report of said Committee be adopted and that the City Collector is hereby instructed to make such settlement with Travis County as recommended by the Special Committee On motion the Council adjourned Geo.
