Shelley, Mayor, presiding Roll Called Present Aldermen Armstrong Crooken Cumes Haynes Moore Petri Powell Smith Von Rosenberg Wilhelm 10 Absent Aldermen macken Muller Redd + Reat 4 The following Call of the Council was read Call Council Austin, Texas, Oct 29th 1906 A Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Austin is hereby Called to meet in the temporary Council Chamber in the Smith office building at 8o'clock P.M. this 29th day of Oct 1906, for the purpose of making an appropriation for the purpose of excavating for the new City Hall, and for the purpose of paying for repairing roof of the City and County Hospital and for the further purpose of making an appropriation for purchasing bonds for the Sinking fund of the Refunding Bonds of the City of Austin W.S. Shelley Mayor C.W. Moore Henry Petri L.W. Crooken W.R. Mullen Austin, Texas, Oct 29th 1906 I hereby certify that I have served the above Call by having same read, by Police man Box & Rutledge, to each of the following named Aldermen to wit: J.H. Mullen, W.C. Redd, A.H. Cumes, C.H. Powell, L.W. Crooken, E. Von Rosenberg, Geo. Macken, E.J. Armstrong, Henry Petri, C.H. Wilhelm, H.L. Haynes, J.A. Scott, Tom Smith and C.W. Moore J.J. Morris City Marshal $3000. excavating By Alderman Moore, an Ordinance appropriating new City Hall the Sum of $3000.00 for excavating for new City Hall The Ordinance was read the first time and passed by the following vote Yeas Aldermen Armstrong Crooken Cumes Haynes Moore Petri Powell Smith Von Rosenberg Wilhelm 10 Nays None Repairs to Hospital By Alderman Armstrong, an Ordinance appropriating the sum of $600.00 for the purpose of repairing roof of City & County Hospital The ordinance was read the first time and passed by the following vote Yeas Aldermen Armstrong Crooken Cumes Haynes Moore Petri Powell Smith Von Rosenberg Wilhelm 10 Nays none --- Page break --- 599 Purchas of bonds from Sinking fund By Alderman Haynes an ordinance appropriating the sum of $ 2815°° for the purpose of purchasing bonds from the sinking fund. The ordinance was read the first time and passed under suspension of the rules by the following vote: Yeas Gederman Armstrong Croker Bingo Haynes Moore Pownel Smith Von Resenbung Newickhelm. Ca nays none. Alderman Haynes offered the following resolution which was read and adopted By it moved by the Finance Committee. Treasurer to deliver bonds to Finance Committee That the Finance Committee be authorized to procure from the City Treasurer all bonds purchased with Sinking funds, so that same may be cancelled at the next regular meeting, and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized to deliver all such bonds and take the Committees receipt therefor.
