Austin Paving Projects & City Budget Approved

Street Paving Investment: Council approved $2,500 to pave Congress Avenue south of Third Street and offered Travis County another $2,500 to build one mile of experimental road near Barton Creek Bridge in South Austin.

Budget Amendment: Aldermen added $1,000 to the city budget for a new crematory facility after removing a $125.33 line item.

Plumber Inspectors Confirmed: City Council confirmed the appointments of J.R. Donnell and J.O. Andrewartha as Plumbing Examiners.

Fee Refunds: Granted a pound fee refund to D.J. Pickle and referred Otto Trihoff's liquor license refund request to the Claims & Accounts Committee for review.

70 J R Donnell & J O Andrewartha, Confirming Steno 11 to 25 were read and adopted. Alderman Crooker moved to approve and correcting order on striking out $125.33. which motion prevailed. Alderman Crooker moved to add to the budget the following: " For a crematory $ 1,000.00 ,which motion prevailed .The budget as amended was then adopted . The Mayor announced the appointment of J R Donnell and JO Andrewartha, on the Examin. Plumbers ,and asked their confimation.On motion the appoint-ments were confirmed . New Business; 21. relating to offer Alderman Miller offered the following resolution,which was read and Travis Co. $2500. adopted,Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin; experimental road That the Mayor of the City of Austin is hereby authorized to offer to the Commissioners Court of Travis County Texas the sum of thundred work on [illegible] dollars ,to be paid by the City of Austin to the County of Travis, conditioned that the said County of Travis will "build,in the experi-mental work one mile of road from the Bartons creek bridge to Canions Store",in what is commonly known as the Fredricksbur; and Bartons Creek road in South Austin. Alderman Haynes offered the following resolution,which was read and adopted ; interest fund Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin,that the City Treasurer be and he is hereby directed to transfer from the " Interest end Sinking fund" to the " Permanent Paving Fund " the sum of fortyfive hundred dollars ( $ 4500.00 ) this being a part of the amount heretofore transferred from said " Permanent Paving Fund " to the said
