313 Resolution 10 No. 1. fine Co. Councilman Hart moved to reconsider the vote by which the Council ,on the 18th Inst.passed a resolution ,in regard to a Hose wagon for the 10th Ward Hose Company, which motion prevailed Councilman Hart then offered the following resolution,voz: Whereas on the 19th day of June 1909,the City Council having. re-examinedxxx reconvened pursuant to a recess taken to this date,a motion was made to recon-sider the resolution passed on the 17th day of June 1909,directing and autor- -izing the advertising for bids for the construction of a hose wagonfor the 10th Ward Hose company No 8 ,which motion to reconsider was unanimously adopted by the Council,and the following resolution amendatory and in the place and stead of said resolution was substituted therefor,viz: Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin ,that the plans and specifications as submitted by the committee of the 10th Ward Hose Company No 8 for the construction of a hose wagon for said company be and the same is hereby approved and adopted and the Superintendent of Police is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids for said wagon for five consecutive days in the daily press of the city of Austinnotifying persons who desire to bid on same to file their sealed bids with the Superintendent of Police and Public Safety on or before 9 o'clock A M or the 8th day of July 1909. The Council reserving the right to reject any or all of said bids. The resolution was adopted by the following vote: Yeas Mayor Wooldridge,Councilmen Bartholomew,Gracy,Hart & Powell 5 Nays none.
Contract Heffron Fallagant W 6th Street Re-considered Councilman Powell moved to reconsider the vote had on June 18th 1909, accepting the bid and awarding the Contract for paving west 6th street from Guadalupe to San Antonio street to Heffron & Fallagant,which motion prevailed, by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge,Councilmen Bartholomew,Gracy,Hart & Powell 5 Nays none. Property owners on W 6th bet Guadalupe San Antonio not notified to meet with the Council Councilman Powell moved that the bid of Heffron & Fallagan,being the lowest and best bid ,that the Superintendent of Streets and Public Improve ments notify all abutting property owners that they can be heard on same on Satur-day June 26th 1909,at 9 o'clock A M and show cause why the bid of Heffron & Fallagant should not be accepted,which motion prevailed. By Councilman Bartholomew an ordinance appropriating the sum of $ 500.00 for the purpose of paying for cutting weeds & grass & for making repairs in the Cutting weed & Repair Cemetery City Cemetery . The ordinance was read the first time and the rule suspended and the ordinance placedon its second reading by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge,Councilmen Bartholomew,Gracy,Hart & Powell 5 Nays none. The ordinance was read the second time and laid over until the next regular meeting. On motion the Council recessed subject to call of the Mayor.
City water for State Camp June 21st 1909. The Council was called to order by the Mayor with all members present . On motion of Councilman Bartholomewit was agreed that the City would furnish water for use of the State Encampment ,from July 9th to 15th 1909,free of

Supt. directs to advertise for bids for additional Storm Sewer
Councilman Powell coffered the following resolution,viz: Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin,that the Superintendent Department of Streets and Public improvements,is hereby authorized to advertise for bids to bulid additional Storm Sewer Between theAlley West of San Antonio Street and southeast corner of sixteenth street and Nueces street. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge,Councilmen Bartholomew,Gracy,Hart & Powell 5 Nays none .
