Street Grade Established: City officials formally established the permanent elevation grades for 14th Street between Lavaca and Colorado Streets, a necessary step for infrastructure planning and construction.

503 July 06, 1910 The Council was Called to order by the Mayor: Present Mayor Wooridge, Councilmen Tracy & Hout -- 3 Absent excused Councilman Bachman & Porcell -- 2 Petition from Lundell By Councilman Lundell asking permission for wooden building to erect a shed covered with galvanized iron, on lot 14 block 2 within the fire limits, which petition was endorsed by the Board of fire Commissioners – The petition was granted by the following Vote: Yeas Mayor Wooridge, Councilmen Tracy & Hout -- 3 Nays None. All absent were instructed to Call Mayor On motion the Council recessed subject to Call of the Mayor. July 6th 1910. The Council was Called to order by the Mayor: Present Mayor Wooridge, Councilmen Tracy & Hout -- 3 Mayor Wooridge offered the following resolution: Street Grade Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas, that 14th Street between the following natural grades be established as the permanent Colorado & Lavaca grades of the Center of 14th Street between Lavaca and Colorado Streets, same being taken from the fire plug at the S.E. Corner 14th & Lavaca Streets, assumed elevation 100 Center of Lavaca Street 97.8. Grade unchanged East side of Lavaca Street "file" 4' 138 feet East of Lavaca Street 98.7 " 8' 180 " " " " " " " " 99.2 " 8' 230 " " " " " " " " 99.8 " 7' West Line of Colorado Street 100.5 " 2' Grade at Center of Colorado Street unchanged 101.2 The resolution was read the first time On motion the Council adjourned. Riddle to erect a wagon scale on 5th Street and 5th Avenue, which was read the second time & laid over. The Mayor laid before the Council an ordinance granting to R R switch J. C. Gregory J. C. Gregory et al to Construct, operate and maintain a et al railroad track upon and across Certain Streets in the City of Austin, which was read the second time and laid over. New Business: C. J. Buxton nominated Councilman Hart nominated C. J. Buxton for City Detective, & confirmed by the following whose nomination was Confirmed by the following Vote: Yeas Mayor Stovedridge, Councilmen Bartholomen, Gray & Porcell 4 Not Voting Councilman Hart C. G. Woodward nominated Councilman Hart nominated C. G.
