The Council was called to order by the Mayor : Roll called: Present Mayor Wooldridge,Councilmen Barthelemew ,Gracy,Hart & Powell 5 Absent none. The minutes of the last regular and recessed meetings were read and approved . Unfinished business : Sidewalk amended The Mayor laid before the Council an ordinance amending the Sidewalk ordinance,which was read the third time and passed by the following vote . Yeas Mayor Wooldridge,Councilmen Barthelemew,Gracy,Hart & Powell 5 Nays none. New Business : Ordinance regulating By Councilman Powell an ordinance regulating the use and improvement of drains and natural drains and water ways in the City of Austin and providing Grassy penalties for the violation of the provisions of this ordinance,which was read the first time. The Council then recessed until 2.30 Pm this day. Sept 29th 3 P M . The Council was called to order by the Mayorwith all members present. Voss & Kecek The Mayor laid before the Council the petition of Voss & Kecek for R R Track permission to put in a spur R R track.The petition was read and granted by the following vote: Yeas Mayor Wooldridge,Councilmen Barthelemewk Hart 3 Nay Councilman Powell 1 Not voting Councilman Gracy 1 The Mayor laid before the Council an ordinance appropriating the sum of $*257.00 for the purpose of paying a judgement against the City in favor of Thos Mills for injuries inflicted upon him on account of negligense of the City. The ordinance was read the first time and the rule suspended and it placed on its second reading by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge,Councilmen Barthelemew,Gracy,Hart & Powell 5 Nays none. The ordinance was read the second time and laid over. By Councilman Powell an ordinance amending Article 872,Section,6,Chapter Sidewalk limits 7,of the Revised ordinances of the City of Austinbe so amended as to Colo- hereafter read as followsviz: -rado Track Section 6 .That the sidewalks on BrazosStreet shall be 10 feet in width from the Colorado River to eleventh street,and the sidewalks on Colo-rado street be ten feet ( 10) from Colorado River to eighth street. The ordinance was read the first time. Woode Reso Councilman Bartholomenw offered the following resolution: Lee pay Resolved that the walks between lots Nos 1092,1129,1130 and 1167,in the 565 North East corner of Oakwood Cemetery ,be vacated,and the same be attached to and made a part of said lots 1092,1129 and 1130. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge,Councilmen Bartholomen,Gracy,Hart & Powell
