Petition of remit fine of Young Johnson Petition grants Recon Class room exhibit sale Candy is near public Schools cleanup Contracts for supplies now day prices. 1911 Bids for ways 5th Nueces St --- Page break --- 632 recesses 3:35 p.m. Bonds turned over Board school notes Austin, January 10th 1911. The Council was called to order by the Mayor with all members present. The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution : Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That Thirty-four Thousand,Six hundred and twenty and 85/100dollars ($ 34620.85).out of the proceeds of the sale of the first thirty-five thousand dollars ( 35.000.00of the City of Austin ,five per cent (5%) bon bonds ,series of 1910,be paid over in bulk by the City Council to the School Board of the City of Austin,Texas. Be it further resolved: That the Mayor of this City is here authorized and instructed to draw his warrant for said thirty four thousand ,six hundred ,twenty and 85/10 dollars upon the City Treasurer against the School Bond fund . Said draft to be made payable to the Treasurer of the School Board,and for said warrant the Mayor is instructed to take the receipt of the Treasurer of the Austin School Board ,to wit: The American National Bank of Austin,Texas . The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge ,Councilmen Bartholomew,Gracy,Hart &Powell 5 Nays none. The Council recessed subject to call of the Mayor. January 11th 1911. The Council was called to order by the Mayor with all members present: Councilman Powell offered the following resolution :: Outlines Whereas, Out Lots 72 & 75 in Division "D" in the City of Austin ,asshown 72-75 Div "D" on the Government map of said City on file in the General Land Office of the State of Texas,are shown to contain 40 acres each ,and are bounded on the East by a street of the estimated width of 100 feet now called Guadalupe Street,on the South by a street of the estimated width of 60 feet ,now called West 29th street,on the West by the East line of the George W Spear League,and on the North by a street of the estimated width of 60 feet ,now called West 34th street.,and Whereas the corners of said Out Lots are positively known to exist,and, Whereas ,both Out LotsNos 72 & 75 have been in part sub-divedby various persons ,and corners established on the groundand improvements made according to said sub-divisions ,and , Whereas,while said improvements do not conform strictly to said sub-divisions ,it would entail a hardship on the owners of said improvements to have to remove same ,and such removal would be of little benefit to the City of Austin ,especially as the true lines of said sub-divisions cannot accurately be determined . Now Therefore,Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin: That the streets and alleys,as now laid out through and across said Out Lots Nos 72 & 75,and defined by fencing and improvements ,be and the same are hereby confirmed and adopted as the streets and alleys in said Out Lots,subject however to such revision of the same as may hereafter be made by a court having jurisdiction in the matter . A plat of said sub-divisions as now made being on file with the City --- Page break --- 633 .Engineer and is here referred to and made a part hereof, which map is marked Exhibit "A" , and dated January 10th 1911.
