Austin, Texas, March 09, 1911. Regular Meeting of the City Council: The Council was called to order by the Mayor: Roll called: Present Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Bartholomew, Gracy, Hart & Powell 5 Absent none. The minutes of the last regular and subsequent recessed meetings were read and approved. The Mayor laid before the Council the report of the City Sexton for the month of February 1911, which was read and ordered filed. The Mayor laid before the following resolution: Resolution: Directing that the sum of Five hundred and seventy five doll-ars ( $ 575.00 ) be transferred from the Permanent Paving fund to the Street Improvement fund . Transfer fund from per Paving District Improvement fund Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin: That the City Treasurer and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and instructed to transfer the sum of Five hundred and seventy five ( $ 575.00 ) dollars from the Permanent Paving fund to the Street Improvement fund, for the purpose of re-imburseing the Street Improvement fund for the payment of estimate No 2 in the sum of Five hundred dollars on bridge at the corner of Fifth and Nueces Streets and the payment of seventy five dollars to the Inspector, being his salary for the month of January 1911. Resolved further :That the City Clerk be and he is hereby instructed to notify the City Treasurer of the adoption of this resolution. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Bartholomew, Gracy, Hart & Powell 5 Nays none.
The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution: Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : Central Garage No for Cars Sidewalk @ 517 Congress Ave That the Superintendent of Streets and Public Improvements be and he is hereby authorized to direct and have provided, such convenient means of access for automobiles across the sidewalk at the Central Garage and Supply Co's place at 517 Congress Avenue , as he may deem most convenient and proper for the public of this City , having fair regard to the convenience of the proprietors of said establishment. Resolved further, that the City Council believes the beviling of the curbing and so much of the sidewalk as may be necessary for access to said Garage, would be the better mode of handling this situation. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Bartholomew, Gracy, Hart & Powell 5 Nays none.
The Council then adjourned.
