Tuesday August 15, 1911 The Council was called to order by the Mayor with all members present. The Mayor stated that the Council had been called to consider and act upon the petition of Citizen of South Austin asking that the ordinance fixing the Pound limits of the City be amended so as to exclude at least a portion of South Austin. Citizens in favor of and against the change were heard. The petition was refused by the following vote: Those in favor of granting the petition: Councilmen Lockridge & Powell. Those opposed Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Bartholomew 7 Hart The Council then recessed subject to call of the Mayor. Tuesday August 15, 1911 The Council was called to order by the Mayor with all members present. Councilman Powell offered the following resolution: Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin: That the certain specification for concrete sidewalks, curbing and gutters, prepared by the City engineer and this day filed in the office of the Superintendent of Streets and Public Improvements, be and the same are hereby approved and adopted as the specification to govern al concrete sidewalk curbing and guttering work to be done by property holders within the limits of the City of Austin. The resolution was adopted by the following vote: Yeas Mayor Woldridge, Councilmen Bartholomew, Hart, lockridge & Powell Nays None The Council then adjourned.
