52 Election on Cemetery Bonds repealed. . By the Mayor an ordinance repealing an ordinance ordering an election to obtain the consent of the qualified voters of the City of Austin to the issuance of bonds by the City-Council for the purpose of purchasing and improving a public Cemetery in the City of Austin,Texas. The ordinance was read the first time and passed under suspension of the rules by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge ,Councilmen Bartholomew, Hart & Powell 4 Absent Councilman Lookridge 1 The Mayor laid before the Council a communication from Citizens of South Austin in regard to Sallons,etc, which was read and ordered filed. The Council then recessed subject to call of the Mayor.
Mrs N McCleery Assessment reduced Friday Nov 10th 1911. The Council was called to order by the Mayor withall members present except Councilman Lookridge The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution : Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That the valuations placed upon the improvements on lots 3 & 4 ,Block 76 of this City ,owned by Mrs Naomi McCleery,be and the same are hereby reduced from $ 3,500. to $ 3,000. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Bartholomew, Hart & Powell 4 Absent Councilman Lookridge 1 The Council then recessed subject to call of the Mayor.

The Council was called to order by the Mayor: Present Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Bartholomew & Hart 3 Absent Councilmen Lookridge & Powell 2 The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution: Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That twelve and 50/100 dollars ( $ 12.50 ) be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the Pure Food fund ,to re-imburse W T Allen ,value of two mattresses destroyed by order of Dr Wickline,City Health Officer. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge,Councilmen Bartholomew & Hart 3 Absent Councilmen Lookridge & Powell 2 The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution : Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That the sum of Four hundred ninety four and 89/100dollars ($ 494.89)be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the Earnings fund of the Water ,Light Bond purchased and Power dept,for the purpose of purchasing,redeeming ,cancelling and des-troying Refunding bond No 345,in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) dated the 1st day of July 1901,and payable on the 1stday of July 1931. Note : Principal of bond $ 500.00 Accrued interest from July to nov 1911 at 4% 7.39 Total $ 507.39 Less discunt on face of bond 12.50 Net amount owing $ 494.89 The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilman Bartholomew & Hart 3 None.

Declaration. The undersigned members of the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas, direct that this statement be recorded in the minutes of the proceedings of the City Council of the City of Austin. We, the undersigned members of the City Council , here make declaration that we have refunding bond No 345, ,in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00), dated the 1st day of July 1901, and due the 1st day of July 1931, with its coupons attached all cancelled and marked paid, as of Nov 11th 1911,and make further statement that said bond was paid by an appropriation in the amount of four hundred, ninety four & 89¢ ($494.89 ) made by the City Council on the 11th day of November ,1911,,said payment representing the purchase price at ninety seven and one half cents (0.97½) on the dollar of the par of said bond, and accrued interest from July 1st 1911, to November 13th 1911, inclusive.

The Mayor laid before the Council an ordinance granting to the Houston and Texas Central Railroad Company the right to construct ,and requiring said Company to construct maintain and operate a railroad switch track ,extension or turn-out upon and across certain streets in the City of Austin, subject to certain conditions. The ordinance was read the first time and passed under suspension of the rules by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Bartholomew, Hart & Powell 4 Absent Councilman Lockridge 1 Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : A resolution declaring and fixing the amount per front foot and total amount of the cost of improvement on West sixth street in Austin, Texas, between the West property line of San Antonio street and the West pro perty line of West Avenue to be paid by each owner of property abutting thereon who has agreed with the City Council concern-ing the same . Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin: That the hearing to property owners concerning an assessment to be made against them and their property for the improvement of West sixth street between the west property line of San Antonio street and the West property line of West Avenue, having been closed and the said property owners having been fully heard as to the said assessment , the benefits thereof and all matters connected with the proceedings with reference to said improvements and the property owners whose names given below having in writing consent-ed with the City and agreed to the amount of the proportion of said cost to be assessed against them respectively and their property. 1st That the said Council does declare and fix the total amount of said improvement to be paid by each of the said owners who have agreed with the City Council concerning the same and the amount per front foot as herein below set forth opposite the name of the said property owners and the description of their property, the names of the said
