The Council was called to order by the Mayor: Roll called : Present Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Bartholomew,Hart,Haynes & Powell 5 Absent none. The minutes of the last regular and subsequent recessed meetings were read and approved. Councilman Powell offered a resolution ordering the construction of certain sidewalks on Lavacca street ,in the City of Austin,Texas,which was read and laid over for one week. Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : A resolution finally accepting pavement and improvement of west 7th streetbetween the west line of Colorado street and the east curb line of Guadalupe street. Whereas, the Supt of streets and Public Improvements has filed his report with the City Council to the effect that the Texas Bitulithic Company has completed the work of paving and improving west 7th street from the west line of Colorado street to the east curb line of Guadalupe street under contract with the City and that said work has been fully donein strict accordance with said contract and specifications adopted by the City ; the therefore, Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That the said work or improvement be finally accepted by the City and that the final estimate due by the City to the said company be paid. Councilman Hart offered the following resolution : Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That the sum of $ 50.00be and the same is hereby transferred from the Miscellaneous item items,et.c,og $ 4.020.00, in the present budget of the Fire Dept ,to salary odf additional man to operate chemical apparatus, and $ 500.00 from said item of $ 4.020.00 ,be and the same is hereby transferred to final payment on Fire Chief’s Autimobile. Louis Lyons Pound fee Councilman Hart offered the following resolution : It appearing to the City Council that a horse belonging to Louis Lyons was re cently impounded in the City pound for which he paid a fee of $ 1.50 for its release, the facts are stated in the accompanying application ,except the further fact that he called the pound man himself ,but this fact shows an evidence of good faith,and the Supt of Police and Public Safety re commen-ding the remission of said fee, therefore, Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That said fee be and is remitted ,and the Clerk of the Corporation Court sti still having said money in his hands ,he is hereby authorized and directed to refund same . Minutes of a called meeting of the City Council of the City of Austin,held in the office of the Mayor of said City in the City Hall,at three O'ql ok P M ,June 4th 1912,for the purpose of opening , canvassing and awarding a contract for the sale of $ 750,000. of the bonds of the City of Austin,Texas authorized by a vote of the taxpayers of this City at an election held on April 30th 1912. Present Mayor Wooldridge,Councilmen Bartholomew,Hart , Haynes and Powell,also City Attorney J B Rector,City Clerk Jno O Johnson, representatives of the bond houses bidding upon said.bonds,and others. The following resolutionhere offered by Mayor Wooldridge was unanimously adopted,there being five affirmative votes and no noes. Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin,that the bid of the Texas Trust Company ,of Austin,Texas, or $ 751,261.50 for the bonds of the City of Austin,Texas, to be issued by the City Council of the City of Austin,Texas, under and by virtue of the authority of the necessary legal majorities of the votes of the tax-payers of the City of Austinat an election held on April 30th 1912,be and the same is hereby accepted : 1st . $ 250,000.of bonds to be issued for Sanitary Sewerpurposes,said bonds to be dated July 1st 1912 ,to bear interest at 5% per annum ,payable semi-annually on the first days of January and July of each year,and to mature as follows: $ 5000.00 each year for ten years after their date ,and $ 10,000.00 for each year for twenty years after said first ten years have expired . 2nd. $ 250,000.00 of bonds to be issued for Permanent Street Improvement purposes ,said bonds are to be dated July 1st 1912,to bear interest at 5% p per annum payable semi- annually on the first days of January and July of each year ,and to mature as follows : $ 5,000.00 each year for ten years af after their date and then at the rate of $ 10,000.00 each year for twenty y years after said ten years have expired.
