Regular meeting of the City Council: Austin, Texas, Sept 5th 1912. The Council was called to order by the Mayor: Roll called: Present Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Haynes & Powell 3 Absent excused Councilmen Bartholomew & Hart 2 The minutes of the last regular and subsequent recessed meetings were read and adopted .
Reports of City Officers: The Mayor laid before the Council the the reports of Health Inspector ,Dr S J Swift ,and that of C L Woodward Fire Marshal for the month of Aug 1912, which were read and ordered filed . Councilman Powell presented a communication from Mrs M S Carrington,in regard to putting in sidewalks and Paving on Lavaca street ,which was read and filed. .
Unfinished business: Approved for the The Mayor laid before the Council a resolution ,which was introduced on the Machinery, etc the 27th of August, read And .appropriating $ 7,500.for Machinery ,etc read And laid over, which was read and adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Haynes & Powell 3 Absent Councilmen Bartholomew & Hart 2
Transfer funds The Mayor laid before the Council a resolution which was introduced and read at a meeting held Aug 29th 1912,and laid over for one weektransferring certainfundsfromthe Street Improvement Bond fund to the Permanent Street Improvement fund, which was read and adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Haynes & Powell 3 Absent Councilmen Bartholomew & Hart 2 Bill J. W. Maxwell Councilman Haynes presented a bill of J W Maxwell ,for fees for collectNot Paid -ing delinquent taxes ,amounting to $ 1,340.97, which was read and laid over for one week. The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution : Be it resolved by the City Council ofthethe Cityof Austin : Pet of G. Flury That the petition of G Flury to place mile board posts within the to Place Mile Posts corporate limits ,upon which advertisements are to be printed or painted be and the same is hereby refused .
The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Haynes & Powell 3 Absent excused Councilmen Bartholomew & Hart 2 The Council then recessed subject to call .

The Council was called to order by the Mayor: Present Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Haynes and Powell.
Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : Curb lines 24th street Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That the curb lines on 24th street from Rio Grande street to Guadalupe street be placed 15 feet from the center line of 24th street, thus making a 30 foot roadway.
The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Haynes & Powell 3 Absent excused Councilmen Bartholomew & Hart 2
The Council then adjourned, J. C. Robinson City Clerk
.Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That the sum of one thousand, three hundred and forty dollars and ninety ($ 1,340.97 ) be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the general contingent fund to pay commissions to J W Maxwell , special tax attorney for the City of Austin, for the collection of delinquent taxes against various defendents from April 19th 1912, to August 8th 1912, as shown by the itemized statement of services rendered in the attached bill, which is hereby made a part of this resolution.
The amounts collected by said J W Maxwell and covered in commissions by this appropriation were $ 8,299.14, and the exhibit covering these collections and consisting of five and a half sheets typewriter legal cap paper , and O K'D by the signature of A P Wooldridge Mayor, upon each sheet and part of a sheet , is attached hereto.
