Regular meeting of the City Council : Austin, Texas, August 06, 1914. The Council was called to order by the Mayor: Roll called : Present Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Absent none.
The minutes of the last regular and subsequent recessed meetings were read and adopted :
Appropriation Paving alleys Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, That the sum of nine hundred ($900.00) dollars be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the Permanent Street fund for the purpose of doing the necessary extra work connected with the paving of the alleys east and west of Congress Avenue, from 7th to 10 streets ,including the building of retaining walls, underpinning buildings, making extra excavation and other work. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none.

9. Transferred from General St. to Permanent St. The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution: Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin: That the City Treasurer and Book-Keeper for the Street dept, be and they are hereby authorized and directed to transfer from the General street fund to the Permanent street Fund the sum of $ 12.30, to correct a mistake in drawing warrent No 3794, which should have been drawn against the general street fund. The resolution was adopted by the following vote: Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none.
Specification Sidewalks, etc. By Councilman Powell: An ordinance prescribing specifications for concrete sidewalks, cur -bing and gutters and repealing all provisions of the present ordinances or resolutions of the City of Austin in conflict therewith: The ordinance was read the 1st time and laid over for one week:
