106 Regular meeting of the City Council: Austin, Texas, November 26, 1914. The Council was called to order by the Mayor: Roll called: Present Mayor Wooldridge. This being a legal Holiday, the Council recessed. November 28th 1914. The Council was called to order by the Mayor with all members present: The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution: Whereas, it has been made apparent to the City Council of the City of Austin that the City Water Power Company has complied with its franchise in work done and cash expenditures since Feb 9th, 1914, to October 22nd 1914; and that it has paid on said contract and franchise during the said period, being the 8th period of its franchise, more than six thousand ($ 6,000.00) dollars required according to the franchise; that it has satisfied this Council that it is entitled to a credit of the balance of the time in the 8th period by floods, rains and other causes not within its control; Therefore, Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin: That the City Water Power Company of Hartford Conn, has complied with the provisions of its franchise to rebuild the Austin dam, and that the 9th period of said franchise and contract between the City Water Power Company and and the City of Austin, Texas, begins on October 22nd, 1914; and that said City Water Power Company has expended more than the amount of money required to be expended during the 8th period of its contract under its franchise with the said City of Austin, The resolution was adopted by the following vote: Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none, Approved A P Wooldridge, Mayor.
