Dam Project Land Acquisition:
Approved a $250 payment to H.H. Allen for the perpetual right to flood portions of his land by the Colorado River, necessary for the city's new dam.Citizen Tax Refund:
Authorized a $19.24 refund to Mrs. E. Schlueter for erroneously overpaying her 1913 taxes on certain assessed credits.First-Time Offender Leniency:
Remitted a $10.80 fine for a young man, C.H. Luedeke, for his first offense of public drunkenness, noting his short prior incarceration.

* Regular meeting of the City Council : Austin, Texas, December 10, 1914.
The Council was called to order by the Mayor: Roll called: Present, Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Absent none.
The minutes of the regular meeting of .Nov 19th & Dec 3rd 1914, also those of recessed meetings between those dates were read and approved :
Reports of City Officers:
The Mayor laid before the Council the reports of the Asst City Clerk, the Sexton, The treasurer & Fire Marshal for November 1914 ,also that of the Supt of the Water & Light Plant for O ctober 1914, which were read and ordered filed : Also the report of the Matron of the Hospital & the Inspector Weights & Measures which were ordered filed:
Councilman Haynes offered the following resolution : Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That the Supt of Receipts, Disbursements and Accounts ,be and is and is hereby authorized to have the following transfers made in his accounts for the Sanitary Department for 1914,to-wit: Transfer to the credit of " Miscellaneous " item of said department,the following amounts to-wit : To the estimate for "burying dead animals " $ 50.00 " " "Disinfectants " 21.13 " " "Stables & Grounds" .44 Total $ 71.57
Transfer to the credit of the item for "Extra Labor " Cutting Weeds " for said department $ 21.55 From the item of " estimate of Feed "for said department 21.55 The above transfers made to adjust and balance the accounts of estimate for said department for the year 1914.
The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none.
(Handwritten: Transfer Appropriation) Councilman Haynes offered the following resolution : Whereas,
it appears from the statement attached hereto of Mr J Gregg Hill, special tax Collector of credits of the City of Austin, Texas, for the years 1912 & 1913, that Mrs E Schlueter was assessed with credits for the year 1913,amounting at 80cents on the dollar to $ 2,720.00, in which $ 2,720 .00 was included credits voluntarily assessed by her for the year year 1913, at 80 cents on the dollar ,amounting to $ 1,040.00; and

Schleuter Taxes) Whereas, the said Mrs E Schlueter erroneously paid the taxes on the entire $ 2,720.00 of credits assessed upon the supplimental rolls for the year 1913, when she should have been assessed and paid taxes only upon the difference between $ 2,720.00 and $ 1,040.00, which difference is $ 1,680.00.
Now therefore, Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin,Texas:

173 That the assessment of supplemental credits against the said Mrs E Schleuter for the year 1913 of $ 2,720.00 be changed to $ 1,680.00, and the Assessor & Collector of this City is entitled to take credit accordingly; and it further appearing that the said Mrs E Schleuter has paid taxes for the year 1913 upon credits amounting to $ 2,720.00, when the amount upon which the taxes should have been paid amounted to but $ 1,680.00; and
Whereas, said excess taxes erroneously paid on said excess credits amounted, as per the statement of the Assessor & Collector of this City, to the sum of $ 19.24, which should be refunded to the said Mrs E Schleuter,
Now, therefore, Be it further resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That the sum of $ 19.24be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the General Contingent fund of the City of Austin,Texas, for the year 1914as a refund to the said Mrs E Schleuter for excess taxes erroneously paid by her upon credits assessed against her by the City of Austin for the year 1913. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none,

December 11th 1914. Councilman Anthony offered the following resolution : C. H. Luedeke Whereas, it appears from the report of the Supt of Police & Public Safety, fine remitted that the offense of drunkenness of which C H Luedeke was convicted and fined in the Corporation Court of the City of Austin,Texas, on December 9th 1914, in the amount of $ 10.80, constitutes his 1st offense ; and Whereas, the said C H Luedeke is a mere youth and it is believed that the short incarceration which he has already sustained has accomplished the necessary effect with him , Now, therefore, Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That the fine of $ 10.80 imposed upon C H Luedeke , in cause No 9073, in the case of the State of Texas vs C H Luedeke , in the Corporation Court of the City of Austin,Texas on December 9th 1914, be and the sameis hereby remitted : The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none.,
Approved, A P Wooldridge, Mayor. Councilman Bartholomew offered the following resolution : Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : H. H. Allen - Pay That the City Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to issue the warrant Overflow Land of the City of Austin for the sum of two hundred and fifty ( $ 250.00) dollars payable out of the amount heretofore appropriated by the Budget of 1914 to purchase overflow rights ,said warrant payable to the order of H H Allen, and the Mayor is hereby authorized and instructed to sign said warrant and to deliver same to said H H Allen upon the delivery to the City of Austin by the said H H Allen of the deed of himself and his wife to the City of Austin conveying the perpetual right to overflow certain tracts of his land .
