188 . Regular meeting of the City Council : Austin,Texas, Jany 21st 1915: The Council was called to order by the Mayor: Roll called: Present Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes &.Powell 5 Absent none: The minutes of the last regular and subsequent recessed meeting were read and adopted: Unfinished business: The Mayor laid before the Council a resolution appropriating the sum of $ 2,500.00,to pay the claim of T H Barrow for overflowed lands, which resolutin had been presented and read the first time January 14th 1915 ,and laid over: Appra claim T H Barrow The resolution was read the second time and passed by the following vote : overflowed land Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Hay nes & Powell 5 Nays none. Reports of City Offices: The Mayor laid before the Council the report of the Fire Marshal,Dr Pease ,Hmt Health Inspector & the Asst City Clerk, which were read and ordered filed: The Mayor laid before the Council an application from the London Woolen Mills ,for permission to hang an Electric sign at 202 Congress Avenue, which was read and referred to W L Eyres ,Sign Inspector ,for examination and report. January 21st 1915: All present: The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution : W B Anthony Whereas it appears from the attached statement of W B Anthomythat Assessment improvements of the value of five hundred ($ 500.00) dollars wre in error Tax assessed by the City Assessor & Collector of taxes of the City of Austin, Texas, on the unrendered rolls of said City for the year 1914upon Lot No 4 Block G" O"Outlot 50 Div. "O" ,Driving Park Addition of the City of Austin ,Texas Now therefore , Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin ,Texas : That, to correct said assessment against the above described propertyin the amount of five hundred ($ 500.00 ) dollars,the same be and is hereby cancelled and annulled and both the owner of said property and the Assessor & Collector declared to be entitled to take credit on the assessment rolls of this City in accordance with the provisions of this resolution . The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none. Approved, A P Wooldridge, Mayor. January 21st 1915. All present: The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution : Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin,Texas : $ 10,000.00 to That the sum of ten thousand ($ 10,000.00 ) dollars,or so much pay Employees thereof as may be necessary , be appropriated out of the Earningsd fund of the work dept Water ,Light and Power Department, for the year 1915, to pay the regular employees of that Department.
