Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas: That the Supt of Streets and Public Improvements be and he is hereby authorized to contract with the Walter Tips Co for the necessary steel for the bridge across Shoal creek at 10th street for the sum of $ 595.08 . The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew & Powell 4 Absent Councilman Haynes 1 Approved, A P Wooldridge, Mayor. Deduction water + Light meters Councilman Bartholomew offered the following resolution : Resolved by the City Council of Austin that hereafter in refunding Water Light and Power met meters only the amounts due by the owners thereof shall be deducted from the amounts to be refunded. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none. The Council then adjourned. Jno. J. Johnson City Clerk
