209 ...Regular meeting of the City Council: Austin, Texas, February 11, 1915. The Council was called to order by the Mayor: Roll called: Present Mayor Wooldridge Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Absent none: The minutes of the last regular and subsequent recessed meetings were read and Approved: Reports of City Officers: The Mayor laid before the Council the reports of the City Sexton, the Inspector of Weights & and measures & the City Health Officer, which were read and ordered filed: Reductions The Mayor laid before the Council An Ordinance Amending Section 3 of An Ordinance Sewer Rate entitled " An Ordinance creating and establishing a Sanitary Sewer Department for the City of Austin ;prescribing rules and regulations for the conduct of the business of said department ; and adopting a schedule of rates for sewer service, passed Feby 20th 1914. The ordinance was read the first time and passed under suspension of the rules by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, HaynesX&LU Absent Councilman Powell 1 Councilman Bartholomew offered the following resolution, which was read the 1st time and laid over for one week: Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That the sum of ten thousand(10,000.00) dollars ,or so much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the Earnings fund of the WatP Light and Power Department of the City of Austin, Texas, to pay for overflowed lands caused by the erection of the dam across the Colorado River in Austin, Texas. Councilman Bartholomew offered the following resolution, which was read the 1st time & laid over for one week. Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : $10.000- That the sum of ten thousand ($10.000.00) dollars ,Or so much thereof as may be Material on necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the Earnings fund of the W & L Dept Water, Light & Power Department, of the City of Austin, Texas, to pay for the purchase of Material and incidental expenses contracted in and about the operation and mainten-nance of the Water, Light and Power Plant of this City. The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution: Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That two thousand five hundred ($ 2,500.00) dollars be and the same is hereby ap$2500.00 for appropriated out of the General Contingent fund of the City of Austin, Texas, for the A A Mundt year 1915, as a second payment to A A Mundt for work on account of the Construction of Dam Wall the retaining wall at the Park above the Dam in this City. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none, Approved, A P Wooldridge, Mayor. --- Page break --- 210 ..Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : . A resolution finally accepting pavement and improvement inthe alley between Congress Avenue and Brazos street from 8th to 9th streets: Whereas, the Supt of Streets and Public Improvements has filed his report with the City Council to the effect that the McDonald Concrete Company completed the work of paving and improving the alley between Congress A Paving alley Avenue and Brazos street from 8th to 9th streets ,under contract with the City Accepted and that said work has been fully done in strict accordance with said contract and specifications adopted by the City ; therefore, Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That the said work of improvement be finally accepted by the City . The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none. Feby 16th 1915, The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution : Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : Amendment That the Budget of the Mayor of the City of Austin for the present Budget year be amended by adding to income of the new City Hospital the sum of Hospital fund $ 4,227.50,all of which amount shall be especially deemed appropriated to the needs of the City Hospital and subject to assignment from time to time as occasion may require. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none. Approved, A P Wooldridge, Mayor. Feby 17th 1915. The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution : Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That for the reasons set out in the accompanying Communication of the Mayor, Int and Sewer the $ 2,000.00 heretofore advanced by the Interest and Sinking fund to the Certificates to be Sanitary Sewer Department of the City of Austin, Texas, to pay interest on the paid in cash from City Sewer Certificates debt for the half year ending December 31st 1914, be Sinking fund cancelled as a debt on the part of the Sanitary Sewer Departmentand be permanently assumed as an obligation to the Interest and Sinking fund. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none. Approved ,A P Wooldridge, Mayor. The Council then adjourned.
