284 . ReguThe meeting of the City Council: Austin, Texas, June 03, 1915. The Council was called to order by the Mayor; Roll called : Present Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Haynes & Powell 4 Absent Councilman Bartholomew 1 The minutes of the last regular and subsequent recessed meetings were @ read and adopted . Reports of City Officers : The Mayor laid before the Council the reports of the City Marshal, the Assessor and Collectorand the City Health Officer which were read and ordered filed. C A Kuse Councilman Haynes nominated Mr C A Kuse, to be a member of the Board of for an appointed member Equalization, which nomination was confirmed by the following vote: Bd of Equalization Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony & Powell 3 Not voting Councilman Haynes 1 Absent Councilman Bartholomew 1 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXX@XXXXXXXXXXXXXX Mrs. S. C. Pitts The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution : Assessment Whereas, it appears from the attached affidavitor Mrs S C Pittsthat the improve -ments uponn Her property situated at Outlot 67, Division @"D", in this City were assessed at $ 1,500.00; and Whereas, in truth and fact said improvements only cost when new the sum of $ 1,900.00; and Whereas , the policy of this City, is to assess property at Sixty per centum of its fair market value, Now, therefore, Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas: That the assessed value of the improvements upon said Outlot 67, Division "D", of this City be and the same is reduced from $ 1,500.00, to $ 1,140.00. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Nays none. Councilman Anthony nominated Henry Kunz to be Clerk of election in the 7th ward,vice Henry Wakasoh,who had moved from the Ward. The nomination was confirmed by the following Vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Nays none. 4 WA Miller Councilman Anthony nominated Mr W A Miller to be Clerk of election in the 7th ward vice C L Clerk Election Farris ,who has become a City employee,which nomination was confirmed by the following vote 7th ward Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony,Haynes & Powell 4 C L Farris Absent Councilman Bartholomew 1 Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin,Texas : Wallace R Miller That the attached bill of Wallace R Miller against the City of Austin,Texas, Payment for bill amounting to $ 14.35, be and the same is hereby authorized to be paid out of the General Street fund of the City of Austin, in the sum of $ 14.35, out of said fund be and the same is hereby appropriated to pay said bill The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Haynes & Powell 4 Absent Councilman Bartholomew 1 Approved, A P Wooldridge, Mayor.
