.Regular meeting of the City Council : Austin,Texas ,July 15, 1915. The Council was called to order by Councilman Bartholomew, Mayor Pro Tem: Roll called : Present Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell: Absent Mayor Wooldridge 1 The minutes of July 1st & 8th ,and subsequent recessed meetings were read and approved:
L J Williams Gasoline Tank
Mr James Belger, who had been appointed a member of the Board of Equalization , was sworn in as such : Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : That a permit be and is hereby granted to L J Williams of this City to install and maintain in front of his place of business at 40th & Guade lupe streets in this City a gasoline tank ,said tank to be placed under the sidewalk;and Be it further resolved : That said L J Williams is hereby authorized to install and maintain a gasoline pump at the curb line in front of his place of business at said 40th and Guade-lupe streets in this City,the work to be done under this permit must be appro- -ved in advance by the City Engineer of the City of Austin,Texas,; and Be it further and finally resolved : That this permit is temporary and revocable at any time in the pleasure of the City Council . The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Absent Mayor Wooldridge 1
Communication A J Zilker
Councilman Powell ,to whom was referred the communication of A J Zilker ,in regard to his lot No 5 Block NO 60, in this City, presented a report of the City Engineer ,in the matter, which report was read and the matter referred to the City Engineer for further investigation and report.
Willie Wolter fine remitted
The Chair laid before the Council a petition from Willie Wolter, asking the remission of a fine assessed against him in the Recorders Court, which was read and on motion the fine & costs were remitted by the following vote: Yeas Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Nays none.
The Chair laid before the Council the reports of the Supt of the Water & Light Plant, The Sexton,The Sanitary Inspector, The Fire Marshal,& The Assessor & Collector of Taxes, which were read and filed. The Chair laid before the Council the following communication :

City Council, Austin, Texas, Gentlemen : We request your permission to build material shack in alley between Littlefield Reinhardt building and Driskill Hotel building ,9'0""X 27'0" ,same to be built so as to allow water Donovan Co. to flow through alley and to permit.wagons to pass through alley .We have permission of To build shack owners of Littlefield to build this shack adjoining their building , Respectfully submitted , The Reinhardt & Donovan Co By R H Dobbin ,Mgr On motion the petition was granted by the following vote : Yeas Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Nays none. Councilman Anthony offered the following resolution : Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas : That the sum of one hundred ($100.00) dollars be and the same is hereby transferred From fund from the appropriation for operation of Police Auto Patrol wagon in the budget for the Police Dept City of Austin for the year 1915,to the miscellaneous appropriation for the Police Dept in such budget. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Nays none. Approved, E C Bartholomew, Acting Mayor. The Chair laid before the Council the following petition : July 13th 1915. To the Hon Mayor & City Council of Austin , Gentlemen : I hereby petition your Hon body for permission to re-roof with tin the Carl Melisch building at 809 Congress Avenue. This building is between solid Rock & Brick walls on Building Permit both sides. Respectfully, Carl Melisch On motion the petition was granted by the following vote : Yeas Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Nays none. Communication by The Chair laid before the Council a communication from Mrs W E Craddock ,asking Mrs. W.E. Craddock that Express Drivers and draymen be required to register their names and wagons,which Asking for registration was read and referred to the City Attorney.

314 July 18th ,1915 . All present except the Mayor: Councilman Haynes offered the following resolution :
Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas: That in order to adjust the accounts of the Water, Light and Power Dept of the City of Austin ,against the Consumers Fuel & Ice Co ,the Supt of the Water,Light and Power Dept is authorized to receive from said Consumers Fuel & Ice Co,such approved accounts as they may have against the City ,and until further notice, to credit same to the accounts of said Co,on the Books of the Water, Light and Power Dept.
Accounts Consumers Fuel & Ice Co. paid by W.L.&P. Dept
The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Nays none.
Approved, E C Bartholomew , Mayor Pro Tem .
The City Clerk ,is hereby instructed to issue and deliver warrants for such accoun accounts as may be due the Consumers Fuel & Ice CO in accordance with above.
