C, that the United States troops to be moved from Texas City be brought to Camp Mabry in Austin, Texas; and Resolution Whereas, it is desired by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas, to ratify and concur with the action of the Chamber of Commerce, therefore, Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas : To Camp That the action of the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Austin, Texas, and Mabry their efforts in bringing the United States troops to be moved from Texas City to the City of Austin, be and are hereby fully concurred in and ratified by th this body . Be it further resolved : That a copy of this resolution be furnished the Chamber of Commerce to be used by them as they see fit. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Nays none. August 27th 1915. The following applications for Drivers licenses were presented, and applicatin granted by the following vote : Yeas Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Nays none. The Chair laid before the Council application from Will Owens , for Drivers license, which was granted by the following vote : Yeas Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 4 Nays none. The Chair laid before the Council the following resolution: Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin : Transfer funds That the sum of $ 4,000.00, be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the General street fund General fund of the City- to the General street fund, and that the City Clerk be , and is hereby instructed to draw a warrant in favor of the General street fund for said amount. This amount being a temporary loan to the General street fund and to be returned to the General fund , with such interest as may be paid on overdraft.
