395 . Regular meeting of the City Council : Austin, Texas, December 23, 1915. The Council was called to order by the Mayor: Roll called : Present Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Absent none. The minutes of the last regular and subsequent recessed meetings wore read and adopted: Petition of P P Haehnel for Drivers license was presented and license granted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none: Mayor to make deeds to lots Cemetery annex Ordinance authorizing the Mayor to make deeds to Lots in Oakwood Cemetery Annex,was read the 3rd time and passed by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none : Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : Drumusifer funds. Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas : That the sum of # 500.00, be, and the same is hereby ordered transferred from the dam Boulevard appropriation and re-appropriated to the Coal and Gasoline account of the general street improvement fund. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none. Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : approp from Sewer, 6th Sabine sts Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas : That the sum of # 600.00,be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the Permanent Street Improvement fund for the purpose of constructing a 24 in and a 30 inch storm Sewer from the southwest intersection of east 5th street with Sabine street to the middle of Block No 62,thence directly across the portion of Block No 62 west of the creek,eastward to Waller Creek ,a total distance of 360 feet with the necessary laterals and storm water inlets. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none. Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas : Transfer to Sanitary Sewer fund That the sum of three thousand (# 3,000.00) dollars be and the same is hereby transferred from the Sanitary Sewer Earnings fund of the City of Austin to the Interest and Sinking fund of the City of Austin, Texas, to assist the City of Austin in paying Sewer Certificates ,which are a primary charge against the Sanitary Sewer Earnings fund ,maturing January 1st 1916. Transfer Sanitary Sewer monthly fund
.Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas : That two thousand (#2,000.00) dollars be and the same is hereby transferrd from the Sanitary Sewer Earnings fund to the Interest and Sinking fund of the City of Austin, Texas, to reimburse an advance of two thousand dollars made by the Interest and Sinking fund to the Sanitary Sewer Earnings fund on Dec 23rd 1914, to help pay for Sewer Certificates in the amount of $ 10,000.00, owing by the Sanitary Sewer Earnings fund on January 1st 1915. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony,Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none. Approved, A P Wooldridge, Mayor. Councilman Bartholomew moved that the sum of $ 74.50 ,be appropriated out of the Earnings fund of the Water ,Light and Power Dept,to pay L Eck for overflows L Eck damages. -ed land on the lake. This appropriation,an additional amount to the $ 731.00, heretofore appropriated for that purpose. The Mayor laid before the Council the following resolution : Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas : Austin Electrical Supply Co. That the sum of $ 165.72,be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the Plumbing General Contingent fund of the City of Austin; Texas, to pay two bills in favor fire hall of the Austin Electric Supply Co of this City for plumbing done upon the South Austin Fire Hall,per the attached approved billssigned by W E Ketchum Architect and L A P almer Inspector of Plumbing. Forty three ($ 43.00) dollars of this appropriation covers the original contract for plumbing done on the South Austin Fire Hall and one hundredtwenty two and seventy two ($ 122.72) covers additional plumbing and work required under the plumbing laws of this City to be done to make the plumbing at the South Austin Fire Hall conform with the requirements of the Citys plumbing laws,and in addition to this requirement the items set out in the $122.72 bill of particulars represent a proper ,if not esoential ,work to be done on the South Austin Fire Hall to put the plumbing there in a proper sanitary condition . The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none. Approved, A P Wooldridge, Mayor. The Council then adjourned.
