414 ..Regular meeting of the City Council : Austin, Texas, January 13, 1916: The Council was called to order by the Mayor : Roll called: Present Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony , Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Absent none. On motion the readings of the minutes was postponed until the next regular meeting of the Council : Councilman Powell offered the following resolution: Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas : That the Supt of Streets and Public Improvements of the City of Austin, Paving Brazos Texas , be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to order ,by the proper St ordered legal procedure , the paving of Brazos street in this City from the alley between 10th & 11th streets to the north side of 11th street in this City. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none. Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas : That the Supt of Streets and Public Improvements of the City of Austin, Texas, be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to order ,by the proper Paving Colorado legal procedure , the paving of Colorado street in this City from the north Street side of 9th street to the south side of 11th street. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none. Councilman Powell offered the following resolution : Resolved by the City Council of the City of Austin, Texas : That the sum of $ 250.00 and $ 5.55 ,cost of court ,or a total of $ 255.55, be and the same is hereby appropriated out of the General Street Improvement fund of the City of Austin, Texas , for the year 1916, in payment of an agreed Lelia Grant judgement against the City of Austin in favor of Mrs Lelia P Grant, in cause Damages. No 32347, entitled Mrs Lelia P Grant vs The City of Austin in the Dist Court of Travis Co Texas. The resolution was adopted by the following vote : Yeas Mayor Wooldridge, Councilmen Anthony, Bartholomew, Haynes & Powell 5 Nays none. Councilman Bartholomew moved that the Council recess, out of respect to the Mayor, on account of the Death of his Sister. which motion prevailed.
